My people PLEASE STOP supporting Louis Vuitton and Gucci!!!! When will our black celebrities learn that free advertisement for companies who don't give a daym about our black people needs to STOP!!! Personally, I don't wear Louis Vuitton nor Gucci because I know they don't appreciate my business nor my peoples. I own one Louis Vuitton wallet that an aunt gave me and I barely use it. I prefer name brands of up and coming celebrities including Kimora Simmons. That hoe gets a lot of my business because I know the snotty azz bytch appreciates my dollarz.
Anyway, I tend to ramble, let me get to the point. T.I and Swizz Beats shot a video for Swing ya Rag and the big names (louis vuitton and gucci) held up the video because they don't want a convicted felon and a man known for cheating on wife swinging their name brands in the video. I hope this sends a message out to the black community to stop supporting their shyt and take our business elsewhere. People are quick to call babyphat ghetto and we totally shot down FUBU - thats just how we do our own kind. Its a shame... Heres a piece I stole from another blog in regards to the matter. Im done writing on this shyt... Its pizzing me off bigg time!!!
Tip and Swizz Beatz shot the video for “Swing Ya Rag” many weeks ago, around the same time as the “What Up, What’s Haapnin’ ” clip. However, the two companies mentioned in the song were not excited about the prospect of full-on visuals for the record, reports MTV.com. “We did it, and it came out hot,” Tip said of the video. “Louis Vuitton and Gucci started trippin’ about it. They were saying we were infringing, in one way or another. They weren’t happy about it. They didn’t want it to come out. But it’s hot, though.”
you should be glad they're not condoning that type of behavior from men/BLACK men. you know damn well if gucci or louis used TI's image or name to promote a product without payin' him for it, he'd be taking them to court. why do you automatically associate swizz's cheating and TI's gun crime with the black community? why not associate their doings with them as INDIVIDUALS and the fact that they were wrong?
ReplyDeletealy is right! T.I is using their product/image without their permission which is wrong. Brand name or not. And you can't seriously tell me your rock baby phat? I wore that ish in high school and even then I only rocked it for a few months till I realized how tacky all that ish is. Next!
